October Update- It's been too long!!!

So its about time I jump back on this blog! So many things have been changing for me- moving; relationships; career goals.

I no longer have the eBay store- as the market has been flooded with people trying to make money to live.  So I guess its time to get personal on here.

I was recently diagnosed with Chiari Malformation type 1. The condition is not "rare", just uncommon. I am still learning a lot about it- but I can not fully grasp the concept of the condition and what I must change in my life- until I see a neurologist. I have no health insurance- but hopefully will have it by the 1st of November.

This recent turn of events with my health has forced me to follow politics (obamacare, and all that).
Still undecided on my vote.. as I am just recently starting to research the candidates. Not only do you need to look at which is best for you personally, but also who will be better for the nation. It seems that people either look at what is best for themselves or what is best for the whole population.

Any thoughts on this??

Just a little update for you guys :)

My brother brought a pitbull boxer mix he when we lived together, didn't get into deep conversations like these, he was pretty introverted. Only short conversations...

Monday_Joke of the Day

It's killing me that I can't do anything like this at my office.

Monkey Trouble
Borrow all the pictures from his desk and office. Scan the photos, and use a photo-editing program to put monkey faces onto everyone's faces. Print them out and place them back on the victim's desk.

I love Stumbleupon, and now I can't stay off of it. It has got to be my favorite site.

Kidnapped
Take an item from the victim's office (something they use a lot such as a special coffee cup, stapler, pencil cup, etc.). Take a picture of the item and leave it on the victim's desk (in the same spot where the item was located), along with a "ransom" note.

I would feel like Jim Halpert everyday.

Where Do I Go?
This trick works great if you work in an office building that has two entrances. Print up two signs that say "Please Use Other Door." Put one on each door, with arrows pointing toward the opposite door.

Or maybe more like Pam

Clipped
Make some copies of a paperclip. Then put them into the paper tray of the copier. People will go nuts trying to find the paperclip stuck in the printer.

This would be funny if my co-workers weren't charged to print.

I'm sort of a nerd. Haha

Happy New Year!

I have been so busy with my job switching, I have completely neglected this blog!
Although, there have been a spike in views over the last week, and it is mostly for my posts on Goodwill. Luckily, my new job is right next to Eldersburg Goodwill! I will not have to go far to visit, and it is in a wealthier area, so the will have high-quality items!

This is a newer Goodwill- it was rumored that the managers were trying to go for a retail store feel to the place- ad its on the verge of working. Their prices were still low- but higher than most other Goodwill's in my area (Westminster, Reisterstown, Owings Mills, Hanover, etc.). The again, Eldersburg has higher quality clothing because the material handlers have the time to LOOK at the clothes.

That's it for now- I've got to go off to my job (which is becoming a career) and I've got to keep my brain top-notch!

Happy shopping!

Best Time To List on EBay

I have been researching this topic for weeks now, and many sources seem to be on the fence about when to post on EBay. Many sources say Sunday evenings will get your listing the most views; although it has been said that this can also decrease your potential sales. Buyers can get easily distracted from your item, when similar items are being thrown at them. Let's check this out.

First of all, the best time of day to post greatly depends on what you are selling. I sell mostly clothing, so we will dig into this category. The following will probably not work as well for say- antique paintings.

Tips on getting traffic to your shop RIGHT NOW!

1. I can not count how many posts I have seen stating that Sunday is the best day to end an auction! Either you can make a seven day listing on Sundays to maximize your sales, or "start a 10 day auction on a Thursday." (Mike Steben, 2010) The 10 day duration will give you two weekends to maximize your views.

2. kruser11 says "I like to end mine between the hours of 8 pm and 10 pm CST".

-Many Ebayers agree with this time- mostly because this is when everyone is settling in and relaxing in their "Me Time".

3. "I've found that many of my buyers are using sniping tools so they just bid what they feel the value is to them and don't worry or care what time it ends, about staying awake or even watching the auctions"- prying1

-This is a great point- Sniping sites are getting very popular, and make it easy for people to shop on a budget.

4. Some believe that there is no "time to post" that will get you more sales. aaana, an Ebay Seller, says that,"[she is] not convinced that there is a best time ... Bidders can use the search functions, as well as browse and if you have items that are well described at a decent price - they will find your listings".

-I think I agree with this opinion above the others. If your item is in high demand, it will most likely sell; of course, it is up to you to optimize its keywords, photos, and description!

No matter what you read- the best way to find the best time to post on EBay is to experiment yourself!
Play around with Auctions, times, Buy It Now, and keywords until you find what best suits YOU!
