Starting on Hubpages!

So I'm really excited to start writing for Hubpages.com- I hear that it can produce some passive income overtime. I'll keep everyone updated on how it goes. After I use the site for a bit; I will write a review on how it works, what type of earnings I am receiving, how many views... all of that :)

I just wrote my first Hub (which is the equivalent of an article) and I think it turned out pretty good for a first timer!!!

It is about driving traffic to your Etsy/ebay/online shop in quick, free, and simple ways. I started with three techniques (as that is all I had time for today) and I think I will fallow up with another three sometime later in the week- There are so many more ways!!

Let me know what you think:
Get More Views
I would love some feedback- on here or on there!
Thanks for the support, guys!!!

UPDATE:
I have now been on Hubpages for almost two weeks, and I have earned .31 cents.... May not seem like a lot; but it is pretty remarkable that I can write a few articles, not touch them, and still earn some money. Also, I love it! I have 5 articles now, and the online community is very helpful and supportive!

Affordable accessories, and custom clothing!! Yay for etsy!

I love accessorizing! Headbands, jewelry, earrings, necklaces!
I have been making my own for a bit now, and etsy has just completely blown my mind with ideas.
My etsy shop ( Confident Crafts) is expanding its inventory, and the founder and I are going insane with excitement!

When I was a seller on eBay, there was no way to sell handmade items, custom clothing, custom accessories, etc., because it was just overloaded with brand names- not the ideal place for handmade, one of a kind products.

I have finally had the time to sit down and spend time on Confident Crafts- and so many new things are coming!

I just can't wait to get it all listed!

Just started making these awesome headbands, and I'm going to make dozens! Can't wait!

This is an up cycled headband- made from an old tie. Now one of my MANY hobbies is up cycling!!!

Happy accessorizing!!

Sewing for Beginners!

Hey hey, Ladies and Gents!
I've been getting obsessed with sewing now that my studio has 2 sewing machines and a mannequin named "Susie". She's just visiting; she'll be home with Madame Starlett soon enough!

I've been sewing my own pieces- shirts, skirts, dresses, and so on; without using any patterns.

Opened up my first sewing pattern (Vintage, of course) and had no idea HOW to go about starting it. I don't know if it was because the pattern was from the 60's, or because I have gotten used to just going at it!

So I found a wonderful FREE site for Sewing (for beginners, seasoned veterans, and everywhere in between). It walks you through everything step-by-step.

No instalol?!

Help out here

I'm sorry to say there will be no instalol of the week today, instead, I'll let you know what's been going on. My father is battling prostate cancer, and things have been rough. So above is the link to my campaign, any donations, or even sharing with your friends would be greatly appreciated....

New Inspiration

So these last few months; I have been fighting between interests. Knitting; creating unique accessories; new business plans; new musical inspiration; and on and on and on.

I've made some new creative friends, and discovered some old friends who were so very creative. A friend and co-worker has become a very good friend of mine, and we may one day come together and take over the world.

Until this happens; we are content with working together on awesome projects.
Like this one: a beautiful scarf with fun tassels, and funky toggles.

Turns out this chick is really talented; yes the one who is dating my ex "insert angry hate filled quote here". Its funny though- we all get along SO well. Very usual for females ;)

So now I am obsessed with her etsy store. It is growing and growing; with more hard work and determination; I plan to double her inventory- we'll see how that goes :)

It kind of reminds me of my eBay days- when eBay was my obsession!

It's a good obsession trade off.

This week I'm a bit tight on my budget, so I am not sure how much of a shopping spree I can go on Sunday. So while I have this little bit of spare time, I thought I would do some research.

Frequently Found Brands In My Area:
I find a lot of great brand names in perfect condition in my area. Thrift stores and department stores carry so many unseen items and deals! I have listed some of the most frequently found clothing brands below:

Aeropostale
Abercrombie
Hollister
Rue 21
Old Navy
Amanda Smith ( which I find is NOT in high demand; therefore, I rarely purchase it)
Ralph Lauren
Coldwater Creek
Eddie Bauer
Tommy Bahama

I also find lots of handbags; listed below;

Nine West
Nine & Co.
Liz Clairborne
Tommy Hilfiger
Ralph Lauren
Elle
Vera Wang
Fossil
Mudd

I constantly see these brand names, and often purchase most of it. I want to know how this market is in different areas for different people. Great places in my area are:

Goodwill
Target
Kohl's
Walmart
Kmart

Where do you find your deals?
What brand names do you see A LOT?
